I'm sorry, I just--- I dunno, AKIYO HAPPENED, that's what. //wat I wanna make a character that wears ridiculous animal masks or something soooo.. this happened
Name: Hashikawa, Akiyo Gender: Male Age: 27 DOB: August 14th Height: 179 cm (5'10") Weight: 67 kg (147.71 lbs)
Subject to be taught: Arts Advisory Class: 1C
Relationship Status: Single Sexual Preference: Straight
Appearance: Messy dirty blonde hair, always wear a mask on his face, mostly seen wearing a light blue long-sleeves shirt that rolls up to his elbows with a grey shirt underneath and a yellow jacket tied on his waist. He wears dark brown pants with pockets on each side and dark grey sneakers for footwear.
Unorganized- A very messy and unorganized teacher, he misplaces things and spends most of his time searching.
Perfectionist- (Despite the ridiculous masks he wears) He's very strict when it comes to his forte and will always points out the errors in others' (be it himself, his students or fellow co-workers) works no matter how many times it takes just to make the whole thing right--much to others' annoyance.
Moody-He can be kind and cheerful at one moment then turns into a sadistic jerk the next. Depending on the people he conversed with, situations, or even the masks he wears; his mood changes at random times.
Reliable- You can depend on him both as a teacher and a friend, be it listening to your troubles, giving advices or even assisting on your homeworks--shhhh . He'll either drop whatever he's doing to help you or multitask it instead, it depends whether he thinks your problems are important enough for him to be bothered at such a moment.(Again, he's moody so he might refuse to help at times)
Frank- Co-existing with him being a perfectionist on his work, he's also very blunt and (means it) towards others, even outside of his work. If he tells you to shut up, you might as well shut up and not bother him for the rest of the day. And when he gives you a compliment or a praise it means he really really likes your work. (even if he doesn't like you)
Born as the second son in the Hashikawa family, Akiyo has been known to be quiet and reserved ever since he was a child, though he has good relationships with his family, especially with his brother, he still lived on the shadows of his brother's achievements and believed that he could never surpass him in anything that his brother does. He grew up normally as any child would but the only thing that differs is how he communicates and expresses himself, he develop his 'moody persona' since he was trying to figure out who really was instead of just being a "shadow" of his brother. Later on, he develop a strange obssession with masks and started wearing one by the start of his 1st year middle school.
Because of his obssession with masks, he did found himself being labeled with different names by his classmates, but all of that soon died out as years pass by, even though they found him to be creepy and weird, he acts rather nice and civil towards them so they accepted him as part of the class, some even became his close friends. His obssession also lead him to join the Arts club which then introduced him to the world of Art and only then did he really found something that defines him as "Akiyo" and not "Brother's shadow".
After graduating from High school, he then took up an art course in a university and graduated; deciding to become a teacher and introduce other people to the world that had defined his existence and also help others who're in the same situation as he was back then.
Likes: -Masks (and anything art related) -Animals, especially dogs -Watermelon -Night time -Video games -Akane
Dislikes: -Missing items -Speeches -Having to repeat himself (especially when he actually gives a long detailed explanation/instruction) -Summer -Akane
TONS OF Additional Info: [Akiyo] -Art and anything related to it (except for music because he really sucks at there) is the only thing he's basically good at. -He's tone-deaf, hence, why he suck at music. -His group of friends in middle school considers him as the 'mascot' of their gang; much to his disdain (but he's secretly okay with it). -He doesn't accept compliments or praises be it on something trivial or not. -He rarely takes off his mask when he's outside of his home. He might take it off if the situation really really reallyy requires for it. -His masks' designs are mostly based on cartoonish animals. And his favorite one is the third one he made with a Dog design for the mask. -Because of his obssession with masks and him wearing it almost every single day, he's now uncomfortable of people questioning about his real appearance and can't really talk with anyone without his mask on. -At first, he really wanted to become a full-pledged artist, but his family suffers financially and his brother has gone and got married, so the responsibility befalls on him and now he became an art instructor to support the family.
[His style of teaching] -Quick and vague explanation/summary of the whole lesson, a limited set of instructions for activities, a usually early dismissal and tons of extensions for 'deadlines'. Due to finding it "Horrible and taxing to put everything into millions of words and drill them into their tiny heads one by one." -In terms of oral recitations or explanations by students, he prefers if they show the quality of their work more and talk less. -His first choice of action for students who doesn't take his subject seriously is to become a "one heck of a pain in the neck" kind of teacher, if that fails, he uses other methods. -As an adviser, he usually lets the whole class (or class officers, if they decided to elect some) do or decide their own agenda, all he only does is announces stuff, gives advice if the class needs it, and uses the homeroom time for him to do his own "teacher-stuff" that he needs to do. "Even playing video games is part of teacher training, gotta keep up with kids these days, after all."
[Family] -He has an elder brother named, Akito; and a younger sister named, Akane. -Both of his siblings are good ('somewhat good' for Akane) at Music in one way or another. -Their father calls them "Triple A". -He has a good relationship with Akito despite all the issues he has with him; He and Akane, on the otherhand, is more of a queen-and-servant relationship, thus, he argues a lot with her. (Though Akiyo still has a big soft spot for his sister perfect for being a servant obeying her whims ) -He's taller than his brother by an inch.
Now I gotta work out on how to act as him--especially if he has no facial expressions--
Akiyo: Keep in mind, I don't have the brain of a cow to believe such an excuse. ..why would you even give it to your dog??? Hmmm.. since I'm in a generous mood, I'll give you a 10-minute chance, do it here and now. That way, there's no dog to give your homework to eh?
Touma: What. No. Sensei is your hearing bad or something... 5 minutes to do this assignment is like 5 minutes to save the world on the first episode of an anime! You can't do that. Give me more time, pleaaasseee my favorite sensei in the world
Michi: eep!*shock*that is indeed very scary!^_^'Cow:MOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!( aAHHHHH COW ALIEN!!!!!!!!)*runs trough the hall , knocking most of the students out *Michi vO'*blink blink* that is indeed very efficient ......
Akiyo-sensei: *smiles even though she can't see it so he nods* Good. Calligraphy is part of Japanese culture. Though you are only a Japanese language teacher, surely you will tackle a thing or two about the culture as well?
